This Privacy Policy explains how Highlands Music Festival ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Highlands Music Festival mobile application (the "App").

1. App Description and Services

The App is a companion service for Highlands Music Festival attendees. Users may browse festival information, including the lineup, FAQ, and other festival details. A user may sign in to view their reservation information, such as their selected cabin and bed, and their check-in status. After check-in, the App may display the barcode associated with that reservation.

Signing in is optional for browsing public festival information. A signed-in account is required to access reservation and check-in information.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the App, we may collect or receive:

Account information: information needed to authenticate your login, such as your email address or other account identifier.
Reservation information: your reservation, selected cabin, selected bed, and related reservation details.
Check-in information: your check-in status and, when applicable, the barcode associated with your reservation.
Notification information: a device or notification token and your notification preferences if you allow festival announcements.
Technical information: limited information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App, such as device, log, and diagnostic information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to:

Authenticate you and maintain your App session.
Display your reservation, cabin, bed, check-in status, and barcode.
Provide festival lineup, FAQ, and other festival information.
Send festival announcements when you enable notifications.
Secure, maintain, and improve the App.
Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

4. App Capabilities and Capability Requests

The App requests only the capabilities needed for the services you use:

Account access: used to sign in and retrieve your reservation and check-in information. Login is the only user submission supported in the App.
Push notifications: requested only if you choose to receive festival announcements. You can manage this permission in your device settings.
Network access: used to securely retrieve account, reservation, check-in, and festival content.

The App does not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, precise location, or other device capabilities unless a future version clearly describes a new feature and requests permission for it.

5. What the App Does Not Do

The App does not allow users to submit festival forms or make purchases. Purchase, contact, and other submission links direct you to the Highlands Music Festival website, where the website's applicable privacy policy and terms govern those activities. Payment information is not collected or processed in the App.

6. Sharing and Service Providers

We may share information with service providers that help us provide authentication, reservation and check-in services, notifications, hosting, security, analytics, and technical support. These providers may process information only to provide services to us and must protect it appropriately. We may also disclose information when required by law, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights and safety of Highlands Music Festival, our users, or others.

7. Data Retention and Security

We retain App information for as long as necessary to provide the App, manage festival reservations and check-in, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your Choices and Rights

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy
